Family medicine treats the whole family. Dr Hostalek sees babies, children, adolescents and adults, including geriatrics. Relationships are important, and family is encouraged. Family medicine incorporates many aspects of traditional medicine, including illness, gynecological exams, school physicals, children, sore throats, arthritis, etc. "from the cradle to the grave". Dr Hostalek no longer delivers babies, however, she does do baby visits after the child is born, and breastfeeding is encouraged to all mothers for the welfare of their children and themselves.
